Berlin, 08.09.2021 – PiNCAMP, the online camping platform of the ADAC, is going full steam
ahead with the digitalization of the European camping industry and announces the addition of four top-class members of staff. After signing the experienced digital expert Michael Frischkorn as CTO in 2020, Uwe Frers, Managing Director of ADAC Camping GmbH, lands another personnel coup: With Tina Münnich, Theo Ullrich, Katharina Gerigk and Thomas
Rühl, he brings four proven camping and tourism experts to the Berlin PiNCAMP headquarter. “With this expansion of the PiNCAMP team, we will drive the digitalization of the camping industry with even more force,” Frers reports.
On September 1, 2021, Tina Münnich has started as Head of Sales & Account Management at ADAC Camping GmbH and will focus intensively on the topic of online bookability for campsites. As a full-blooded tourism expert, Münnich looks back on more than 20 years of experience at Expedia and Hilton. Also from Expedia, Theo Ullrich joins Münnich’s team as Account Manager for the DACH market. Katharina Gerigk takes over business development for the expansion of technical interfaces to PMS and channel managers at PiNCAMP. She previously worked for Booking.com and Accor, among others. Thomas Rühl has already been on board as B2B Marketing Manager since June 1, 2021. He comes from rental camping specialist Vacanceselect and will be responsible for marketing to ADAC Camping GmbH’s B2B customers.
In addition to the four new editions to the staff, PiNCAMP also reports an organizational change. In order to give the important topic of advertising marketing the necessary attention, Cornel Straver, until now consultant for market relations, takes over the newly created position as “Director Media”. He is responsible of advertising marketing and will thus be the main contact person for all media partners.
PiNCAMP (www.pincamp.de) is the digital camping platform of ADAC SE. The portal lists more than 2,200 online bookable campsites in Germany and Europe – plus all ADAC content with more than 10,000 campsites, 8,000 travel destinations throughout Europe as well as 30,000 user evaluations. PiNCAMP combines this information to an inspiring service and content offer consisting of news, travel reports, interviews, vehicle tips and direct booking options. In addition, ADAC experts check the quality of the campsites as part of annual, objective inspections. The platform finances itself among other things over B2B services for operators, consumers use PiNCAMP free of charge. The Berlin-based company is managed by tourism and startup expert Uwe Frers.
